Following the successful UK robotics mission to Japan on 23-27 February 2015 where delegates from the UK robotics community met with prominent representatives of the Japanese academic and robot industry, the Embassy of Japan in the UK is organising a ‘Japan-UK Robotics Seminar’. This event that is taking place on 22nd April 2015 aims to strengthen the relationships between the two countries. Several keynote speakers including Mr Kazuyuki Imazato, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in Japan (METI), Professor Hajime Asama (University of Tokyo) and Professor David Lane (Heriot-Watt University) will give an overview on recent policy and research trends regarding robotics in the UK and Japan.  The seminar is followed by discussion on future innovation and business collaboration between the two countries.
